Mark Aedy is a Managing Director and Head of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Investment Banking at Moelis & Company. Mark has extensive experience building and managing investment banking franchises and played an instrumental role in expanding the Firm’s presence in key markets outside the US. He has over 40 years of investment banking experience, advising clients across multiple jurisdictions globally on a broad range of advisory services including strategic mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He has an extensive track record of transactions in the housing sector.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mark was Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and a member of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Executive Committee. Prior to that, Mark held several leadership roles at Merrill Lynch including Head of Investment Banking – Europe, Middle East and Africa, Head of Metals & Mining and Head of General Industrials.
Mark holds a B.A. (Honours) from Durham University. He also serves as Senior Independent Director of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a Trustee of The HALO Trust, a Non-Executive Director of British Land PLC and a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University.
