Iain Fairnington studied at Napier University completing an HND in Building and a BSc (Hons) in Building Engineering. Since completion of the course Iain has worked at the A Proctor Group for 31 years in his current position as Technical Director. Ian sits on various technical committees within the industry including slating and tiling technical committee of the NFRC, BS 5250 and BS 5534. As well as this work Iain is involved in the research and development of the group’s products in the areas of specialist construction membranes, acoustics flooring solutions and thermal insulation. Iain sits on the MCRMA rainscreen group.
