Launched this year by Rockwool, 'Rockprime' is a new mechanically installed blown loft insulation which offers a quality, super fast installation and total flexibility for the complex nature of the lofty area within old and new houses.
Rockprime can be installed to any specific thickness to suit required U-values. The loose lay nature of the product means that a good coverage between and over obstacles, such as joists and pipework, is easily achieved, even into difficult to reach eaves, thus minimising thermal bridges.
As Rockprime is a blown material, there is no wastage. It has no settlement after installation, provides acoustic benefits and will not be displaced by air movement. It can be installed in almost half the time of traditional roll product with a similar set up time.
