NEW TWO-HOUR FIRE INTEGRITY LOFT HATCH

Cavity Trays of Yeovil has introduced a new high performance loft hatch with a fire integrity rating of two hours, replacing the existing one-hour version at no extra cost.

Cavity Trays explain "Whilst a one-hour rated hatch is adequate in most applications, we believe this cost-attractive higher specification model will appeal. The hatch has been independently tested and has achieved a two-hour rating, but is being offered at exactly the same price as versions offering half the protection.

Cavity Trays has also recently upgraded many of its acoustic and fire-rated caviclosers, and now offers many styles with integrity ratings of up to four hours. Similarly it has altered the shape of its horizontal cavity sock/closer that is manufactured with sloping upper and lower surfaces. Unlike conventional rectangular cavity socks, the Type SAF version cannot act as a bridge for water to reach an inner skin, as the sloping surface always directs the water forward.
