New homes are now being built with energy efficiency right at the front of the developer’s mind.

As smart home appliances are an important consideration and becoming more of a part of everyday life, conversations around saving on energy costs are more common. Consumers are becoming more aware of how important sustainability is for the future and hence manufacturers are concentrating on specific products and features that speak to this need. 

Haier, Hoover and Candy offer integrated and freestanding appliances with ‘best in class’ energy ratings for instance, A+ rated ovens and washing machines with an A rating for energy which is the highest energy rating available, making these models extremely energy efficient. 

Compared with a D Rated washing machine, with the same capacity, these machines will be at least 33% more efficient. This saves on energy and money. In addition, the hOn app (which connects to Candy, Hoover and Haier appliances) helps you to monitor energy consumption and choose the most efficient programmes for laundry, dishwashing, holiday mode for refrigeration etc.

Haier realises that this is a priority for house builders as they consider an appliance brand that’s right for all new developments.
