Stephen Hill

Steve is a founding Director of Hyas Associates, specialising in supporting the delivery of large sale, complex projects, with a focus on comprehensive planning and place making. He is a Chartered Town Planner, with over 30 years’ experience in planning and development, working for a number of local authorities, including at Head of Planning level and with the Advisory Team for Large Applications for ten years. During his career to date, Steve has worked on over 70 large scale projects, advising on a range of Garden Towns and Villages, as well as town centre regeneration and complex mixed use scheme across England, focussing on supporting their delivery through the planning process. Steve has a strong belief that collaboration is a critical component of good placemaking and he is currently supporting a number of active, large scale developments including working with Cumberland Council, to deliver the 10,000 home St Cuthbert’s Garden Village, leading on the outline business case for a Locally Led New Town Development Corporation.
