Stefan Kruczkowski

Stefan is an Urban Designer and specialises in urban design within residential development. Stefan was co-author of Building for Life 12 with David Birkbeck, CEO of Design for Homes.

Stefan is a Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design and divides his time between Nottingham Trent University and his private consultancy. At Nottingham Trent University, Stefan supports teaching on both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes whilst conducting Building for Life based research. Stefan has supported the development of Building for Life since 2007 and has worked extensively around the country promoting its use and helping others to use it. His work promoting the value of good urban design was recognised in 2011 when the '€˜ourplace' '„¢ design initiative he developed for North West Leicestershire District Council secured the Urban Design Group's first Public Sector Award. '€˜ourplace'„¢' has since become the model for the new Built for Life accreditation scheme.
