Neil Smith is NHBC's Group Research and Innovation Manager. He is a Chartered Environmentalist, a Chartered Surveyor and a Chartered Builder and has worked for NHBC since 1989 in a variety of roles.
Neil is responsible for managing NHBC\'s technical input into the sustainability and zero carbon homes agendas. He also manages a programme of research, primarily through the NHBC Foundation.
NHBC, (National House-Building Council), is the standard setting body and leading warranty and insurance provider for new and newly converted homes in the UK. Its role is to work with the house-building and wider construction industry to provide risk management services that raise the standards of new homes, and to provide consumer protection to new homebuyers.
