John Bowden

John Bowden is Corporate Sustainability Co-ordinator for Barratt Developments PLC, Britain’s largest homebuilder. Barratt Developments aims to be Britain’s leading national sustainable housebuilder and in 2018 was recognised as such by NextGeneration, the only major sustainability benchmark specific to housebuilding. The Group is a finalist in the 2018 Edie Sustainability Leader Awards for efforts on reducing construction waste and has championed ‘Giving Nature a Home’ through its unique national partnership with the RSPB, integrating and embedding the enhancement and protection of ecology and biodiversity on housing developments. John supports the Corporate Sustainability team at Barratt on reporting, communications and data collection having previously provided marketing communications for social housing and voluntary organisations.
