David Adams divides his time between Head of Retrofit for Willmott Dixon Ltd and a Director of the Zero Carbon Hub.
David was instrumental in creating and setting up the Zero Carbon Hub in 2008. As a Director of the Hub, he chaired the specialist task group which developed the Fabric Energy Efficiency Standard for homes and is currently chairing the Task Group commissioned by the Housing Minister to recommend an appropriate minimum national Carbon Compliance standard for zero carbon homes.
Working for an insulation manufacturer, he has spent the last 5 years focusing on developing the market for low energy refurbishment. He developed and promoted the 'Pay As You Save' low energy financing concept for upgrading the energy efficiency of existing homes which is included in the Governments Energy Bill as the 'Green Deal'.
He recently joined Willmott Dixon where his role is to expand the company's presence in low energy retrofit market.
In 2010 he was voted Sustainability Leader of the year by Building Magazine
