Ben Cook

Ben has been working within the house building industry for over ten years and has spent time working in every part of the house building industry from on site construction to his current role as Senior Land Manager.  As the Senior land Manager for Barratt Bristol he is responsible for a team of Land Managers and delivers over 800 homes per year in a patch, which includes Gloucester, Cheltenham, Weston Super Mare, Swindon and Bristol.

This role includes sourcing new land opportunities negotiating agreements with landowners, instructing architects to make planning applications and gaining planning permissions for the homes Barratt Bristol build.

Ben has previously worked for Beaufort Homes (Berkeley Group), Swan Hill Homes and Crest Nicholson and has been involved with some of the most prestigious schemes in and around Bristol such as The Point, Harbourside and Contemposis all in Bristol and Imperial Square and Century Court in Cheltenham plus delivering Paramount in the centre of Swindon.  All these projects are diverse urban schemes that were and are at the forefront of regional development and urban regeneration.

Whilst at Crest Nicholson he negotiated the partnership agreement with Clarks to deliver 450 homes at the Houndwood development in Street, Somerset. This development sets it's sights on becoming one of the first carbon neutral schemes in the UK and the Clarks family were extremely keen to provide homes which would be both architecturally pleasing and a legacy to Street.  This scheme is now on site and the first units will soon be completed.
