Abigaile Bromfield is a Regional Co-ordinator (Central) at the Advisory Team for Large Applications (ATLAS). She is a Chartered Town Planner with experience in both the public and private sectors and had been with ATLAS since it was set up 6 years ago. Abigaile is the lead advisor on multiple projects and as Regional Co-ordinator has lead responsibility for managing and co-ordinating the operational processes for all projects in the East of England, West and East Midlands to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the ATLAS project engagement. She was a member of the steering group for the Mediation in Planning research project commissioned by the National Planning Forum and the Planning Inspectorate and is a qualified mediator.
The Advisory Team for Large Applications (ATLAS) provides a free, independent advisory & enabling service to local planning authorities and their development partners. It is funded by CLG, and hosted by the HCA. It works with local authorities, the private sector and key agencies in helping to deliver high quality sustainable development through effective planning processes, collaborative working and the promotion of good practice. In 2009/10 ATLAS worked on 57 different planning projects involving about 200,000 residential dwellings.
