Dandara has appointed a new chief executive and board as the private company expands.

Trevor Dempsey has become boss of the housebuilder, which builds in South England, Jersey, the Isle of Man, Wales and Scotland. Dempsey joined Dandara in 2020 as md of the Northern Home Counties division; previously to this he held similar roles at Linden Homes and Bovis Homes. He has 25 years’ experience in the housebuilding industry.

He will lead the newly formed board - overseeing the operations of the company’s residential property development divisions – supported by Chris Harris as divisional md and divisional finance director James Horne. Harris is former md of Dandara South East, joining in 2019 from Linden Homes. Also joining that year, Horne was previously at Taylor Wimpey.

Dempsey said: “Dandara continues to go from strength to strength – we have performed well against our planned growth objectives and are performing well in every region.

Dandara said changes to its operational structure would support its transformation "from a regional specialist into a nationwide player".

Under its expansion plans, Dandara has established a Wales and West division, based in Cardiff which opened early this year, and Dandara Eastern in Braintree, Essex, launching in summer 2021. It also has bases in Milton Keynes, Tunbridge Wells, Southampton, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, the Isle of Man and Jersey.

Dandara said it was one of the UK’s largest independent property development companies, “with thousands of happy customers and over 100 industry awards for design and quality”.
