Wimpey and Woodrow merge

Taylor Woodrow and George Wimpey have merged to create Britain’s largest housebuilder, Taylor Wimpey. Taylor Wimpey will build more than 31,000 homes a year, 22,000 across the UK, with annual sales of £6.7 billion and a landbank of 92,000 plots.
