UK property values trebles in decade

British homes have trebled in value over the last ten years and are now worth three times more than one year’s national output. According to Halifax the value of UK private residential housing stock rose by 15% in 2004 to £3.3 trillion. The north west and Northern Ireland saw rises of more than 25% last year.
