Taywood profits slip

New Taylor Woodrow chief executive Ian Smith has vowed to "improve our performance" after the company reported a small drop in profits in 2006. The housebuilder announced pre tax profits of £406 million, slightly down from £411 million in 2005, on an increased revenue of £3.68 billion.
