Private housebuilding stagnates in first quarter

Private sector housebuilding levels are stagnating, according to NHBC’s latest quarterly statistics for February to April 2007. Figures show that completions of private sector homes stood at 43,329 during the three month period, a slight decrease on the 43,522 new homes built during the same period in 2006.
