Price rises make rate increase more likely

Annual house price inflation rose above 10% in April, according to the Nationwide, despite fears of interest rate rises in May. Nationwide reported a price rise of 0.9% in April, compared to 0.5% in March, leaving them 10.2% higher than in April 2006.
