Planning permissions rise

Planning permissions in England rose 36% in Q3 2012 against the previous quarter, according to the Home Builders Federation's Housing Pipeline report. The 33,881 home approvals are a 17% rise on Q3 2011 which saw 29,059 permissions granted. But the numbers achieved are still half of the 60,000 per quarter needed to meet demand, HBF warned.
