Planning fees for major schemes could skyrocket by up to 450% if the recommendations of a government-commissioned report are implemented. The report argues that all fees should rise by 39% and the maximum fee for large schemes should be raised from from £11,000 to £50,000 in the interests of "100% cost recovery".
