Planners refuse Poundbury high density extension

The proposed extension of Prince Charles' model Dorset village, Pounbury, has been refused planning permission by West Dorset District Council. The Jubilee Court scheme, which included a five-storey residential apartment building, was ruled unsuitable for the locality due to the "overpowering" impact of its high density.
