Market strength forces Bank of England\'s hand

House prices continued to rise in March, reported the Halifax as the Bank of England left interest unchanged at 4.5%. According to the Halifax prices rose 0.9% in March after a 1.5% rise the previous month, taking the annual rate of growth up to 6.2%, the strongest figures since April last year.
