The HBF and the BRE/NHBC-funded National Centre for Excellence in Housing have established a “housing production barriers group,” following Kate Barker’s recommendation that the industry look into the obstacles to increasing supply. Chaired by former NHBC operations director Rod MacEachrane, it will focus on “the barriers to building 200,00 zero carbon homes by 2016.”
