House prices rise rapidly during summer

Average house prices in London have risen above £300,000 for the first time, according to figures from Nationwide Building Society and Halifax, published today (October 4). Today’s figures show that prices in the capital rose rapidly during the summer. The Nationwide said they increased 3.4% between June and September, the same pace as in the spring quarter.
