Government reveals plans for struggling home owners

The chancellor and housing minister have announced a £10 million package of measures to assist home owners in difficulty with their mortgages. Alistair Darling and Caroline Flint have pledged an additional £9 million extra funding for personal debt advice which will be provided by third sector partners including Citizens Advice Bureau.
