Government looks to crack down on household emissions

The government are considering introducing new building regulations in order to reduce carbon emissions. Figures from the Department of Trade and Industry show that emissions have rose by 2.2% in 2003 and 1.5% in 2004. Tax breaks for energy efficient household appliances are also being considered alongside larger investment in renewable energy and a new generation of nuclear power stations. …
