Developers beat brownfield targets

Housebuilders are smashing the government’s brownfield targets, the ODPM has revealed. Developers are now building 72% of all new homes on brownfield sites, this is up 56% from 1997 and an all time record. Densities remain at 40 dwellings per hectare (dph), up from 25 dph in 1997.
