Budget could include tax cuts

Next month’s Budget could include tax cuts aimed at helping first time buyers and home owners, in an attempt by Labour to head off Tory moves to make tax an election issue. Stamp duty on properties less than £250,000 could be cut and some ministers are pressing for a banded system of inheritance tax.
