Barratt Developments has appointed John Allan CBE as a non-executive director and chairman designate of the company. Allan, who is currently chairman of Dixons Retail and a non-executive director of Royal Mail, joins the board on August 1, replacing Bob Lawson as chairman after Barratt’s AGM on November 12 this year.
