Housebuilder Awards 2011
Barratt scoops Housebuilder of the Year
Barratt Developments was crowned Housebuilder of the Year at last night's Housebuilder Awards at a glittering ceremony in London's West End.
Barratt scooped the prize after winning the best regeneration and best landscaping categories while David Wilson Homes, part of the Barratt Group, won best community initiative.
The William Lacey Group won Housebuilder of the Year for small to medium sized developers and also won best low or zero carbon initiative for Brookwood Farm.
The Awards - which recognise and reward excellence and innovation throughout the housebuilding disciplines - are presented by Housebuilder magazine in association with NHBC and the Home Builders Federation.
Crest Nicholson won Sustainable Housebuilder of the Year, while there were also wins for Places for People (customer satisfaction), Redrow (marketing), Linden (design - three storeys or fewer), PRP (design - four storeys and above) and Cavity Trays (product).
The Awards were presented by comedian Alexander Armstrong last night at the Millennium Mayfair Hotel in London.
